In 1994 Eric. J. Bartky MD opened his psychiatry practice providing evaluation and treatment services for children and adolescents. His thorough approach to evaluation and treatment nurtured the development of a full-service treatment center, helping children, adolescents, their families and adults of all ages. His gentle yet clear style helped both patients and families feel understood and hopeful – factors that contribute to a successful treatment outcome.

Eric J. Bartky, MD, is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Bartky has been in private practice since 1995 and was on the staff at NY Presbyterian Hospital for 10 years and the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at Morristown Medical Center for 13 years. He has been serving as a Consulting Psychiatrist to the Phoenix Center, a private not-for-profit school for children ages 5-21 with severe developmental disabilities since 1998. Dr. Bartky’s past teaching activities included Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for the Pediatric Residents at Morristown Medical Center with prior faculty appointments at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the University of Miami.

Dr. Bartky provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children and adults in the full spectrum of anxiety, mood, behavioral (e.g. Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and developmental disorders, as well as eating disorders. He takes a holistic approach to each patient and only prescribes medication when it is medically indicated.

In addition to psychotherapy and medication management Dr. Bartky utilizes the Cranial Electrical Stimulation device cleared by the FDA for anxiety, depression and insomnia.

Dr. Bartky will consult with school districts when needed and will confer with other health professionals involved in each patients care.

Telepsychiatric services are available via Skype. Dr. Bartky has been successfully using this convenient treatment modality for the past 2 years. He is a Principal Investigator in a variety of research areas including ADHD, Pediatric Major Depression, Pediatric Bipolar Disorder, Adolescent Panic Disorder and Eating Disorders.

Dr. Bartky is active in the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry where he served on the Program Committee, the Research Subcommittee and the Schools Committee. He gives educational talks to local parent and professional groups and organizations including PTA’s, PTO’s, and NAMI.

Dr. Bartky just completed an exciting FDA Phase 2 Study for the treatment of Autistic Spectrum Disorder at the Livingston practice. He is hopeful that the treatment will prove to be an effective one for the core symptoms of Autism.

Jacqueline Calle-Andrade, Psy. D.

Jacqueline Calle-Andrade, PsyD, is a psychologist who works with children and adolescents. She graduated from Pace University in New York City with a major in Psychology and a minor in Business. She earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in School Psychology at The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University. Dr. Calle-Andrade completed externship training at several public schools and mental health centers such as the Psychological Clinic at Rutgers University and NSTM (Natural Setting Therapeutic Management). She completed her internship at Elizabeth General Hospital (now Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, New Jersey), where she worked with inpatient and outpatient populations.

Dr. Calle-Andrade specializes in the treatment of depression and anxiety. Her therapeutic approach includes cognitive-behavioral therapy. She also works for a local school district as a certified school psychologist where she provides services to students who receive special education and related services.

Dr. Calle-Andrade is a member of the American Psychological Association.

Kimberly L. Cameron, PsyD entered the psychology field in 2010, after earning her Masters in Experimental Psychology. She began working as a Research Coordinator at Northwell Health, where she administered clinical and neuropsychological assessments to children and their families. This influenced her decision to earn her Doctorate and further her knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Raised in a family that owned a Preschool for over 30 years, Dr. Cameron always enjoyed working with children, parents, and other professionals in the community.

Dr. Cameron received her Doctorate degree in School-Community Psychology from Hofstra University in Long Island, NY. She has worked as a school psychologist with elementary and middle school students to help children develop more adaptive coping skills for a wide range of difficulties such as generalized anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, phobias, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and learning disorders. Dr. Cameron’s professional background also includes conducting psychotherapy on a college campus. In addition to providing therapy, working with this population involved managing and minimizing crisis and high-risk situations occurring on campus and at home. The accomplishment of these goals required effective communication and collaboration with other staff psychologists, parents, and teachers.

Dr. Cameron has also worked as a therapist in community clinics including the Diagnostic and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorder, the Family Forensic Psychology Institute, and the Psychology Evaluation and Research Clinic at Hofstra University. Dr. Cameron implemented cognitive-behavioral techniques to provide support for family members and caregivers of children with high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related disorders that may have been present. These services include individualized counseling, outreach support, education about the needs of children with ASD, and assistance in utilizing community resources. She also provided assessments and intervention services to families whose conflicts brought them into contact with the legal system: families going through divorce, separation, and other family transitions or conflicts. These services included individual and family therapy, therapeutic and supervised visitations.

Dr. Cameron completed her Post-Doc Fellowship at the Child Mind Institute in Staten Island, NY, which heavily emphasized neuropsychological assessment and interpretation. During this time, she continued to advance her skills in conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations and interviews, and planning appropriate treatment interventions.

Dr. Cameron’s approach to psychotherapy utilizes techniques integrating cognitive-behavioral therapy, aspects of acceptance-commitment therapy, and ecological systems. Dr. Cameron’s believes psychotherapy yields the best results when consideration is given to the multiple environments salient in the individual’s life. She is particularly interested in working with children and adolescents with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and school-related difficulties, and assisting families in managing accompanying behaviors. Dr. Cameron continues to enjoy working in the school system and is passionate about providing support for family members and caregivers of children and adolescents coping with mental health issues.

Khaya Eisenberg, Psy.D. earned her doctorate in school-clinical child psychology from Pace University. She is a nationally certified school psychologist.  Dr. Eisenberg also completed postgraduate training in marital and family systems therapy at the Family Institute in Jerusalem and is fluent in Hebrew. She recently certified as a PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator, qualifying her to provide a structured program of evidence-based premarital counseling.

Dr. Eisenberg provides psychotherapy and assessment to a broad population of children, adolescents, and adults.  She also provides both premarital and traditional marital therapy to couples who wish to strengthen their relationships.  Dr. Eisenberg’s theoretical orientation is integrative, drawing on cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, family systems, and existential approaches to tailor psychotherapy to the individual needs of the client.   Her special interests include couples counseling, parent-child relationship problems, children and adolescents with various emotional and behavioral concerns, and adults experiencing life transitions. Dr. Eisenberg completed her doctoral internship at Hawthorn Center and at University Psychiatric Center in Michigan. At Hawthorn Center she developed expertise with complex inpatient child and adolescent populations. At University Psychiatric Center at Livonia she expanded her skills with treating an at-risk outpatient population of children and adolescents. She also worked as part of an early childhood intervention team.

Dr. Eisenberg has held adjunct faculty positions at Pace University, University of North Texas Department of Foreign Studies, and University of Detroit Mercy.  She has published a number of academic articles on foster care, cultural and gender issues, and other topics and participated in a research group developing spiritual care interventions.  Prior to joining the Bartky Healthcare Center Dr. Eisenberg worked as a supervising psychologist in two residential healthcare settings. At these settings she provided psychotherapy to both geriatric and rehabilitation patients, including intensive rehabilitation work with psychiatric inpatients who had suffered traumatic brain injury.

Katherine L. Feingold, M.D.

Katherine Feingold, MD, attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate and began her premedical studies there. Between college and medical school, Dr. Feingold worked as a teacher for children with learning disabilities and with children who had high functioning autism. This sparked her interest in child and adolescent psychiatry. After attending UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey, Dr. Feingold completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. There she honed her skills in psychopharmacology for adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, and symptoms associated with psychosis.

After achieving board certification in Adult Psychiatry, Dr. Feingold went to New York University to complete a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. While seeing patients at Bellevue Hospital and The NYU Child Study Center, Dr. Feingold gained expertise in evaluating and treating children and adolescents with ADHD, Asperger’s Disorder, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, high functioning autism, anxiety, PANDAS, Tourette’s and other tic disorders, and eating disorders. Dr. Feingold has practiced psychiatry at the Bartky Healthcare Center since 2005.

Dr. Feingold chooses to approach each patient as an individual whose personal life circumstances affect his or her mental health and wellbeing. She prides herself in forming a comfortable and connected rapport with each family member. After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Feingold works collaboratively with other healthcare providers, to provide cutting edge psychopharmacology sensitively and cautiously.

Dr. Feingold was recognized by Contact We Care, an award-winning, volunteer-staffed crisis hotline serving New Jersey, as their 2009 honoree, for her service to the community. She also is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent psychiatry and has lectured about a variety of topics to local support groups for adult and children/parents affected by mental health issues.

Marc Gironda, PsyD, is Chief Psychologist at the Bartky HealthCare Center. He is a clinical and school psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Dr. Gironda has been recognized as a “Top Kids’ Doc” by NJ Family magazine.

Dr. Gironda makes use of evidence-based practices for a range of difficulties including mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trichotillomania, ADHD, behavior disorders, learning disabilities, and adjustment problems.

Dr. Gironda's therapeutic approach with children utilizes both directive and non-directive play therapy. In addition, Dr. Gironda believes strongly in the role that parents play in their children's lives and therefore encourages parent participation in the therapy process. He uses techniques that allow parents understanding of what their children are learning in therapy and how to apply effective strategies for change at home and school. Dr. Gironda also provides filial therapy, which encourages collaborative play between parents and children.

Dr. Gironda's approach to psychotherapy with adolescents and adults includes cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and supportive techniques. He also practices family therapy.

Dr. Gironda has a special interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. He works with the families of such individuals as well to help with advocacy and independence.

In addition to providing psychotherapy, Dr. Gironda has expertise in cognitive, educational, and personality testing, and specializes in psychodiagnostic assessment. He frequently consults with parents, schools, attorneys, and other professionals regarding diagnosis and treatment strategies.

Dr. Gironda earned his BA in music and psychology (honors) from Colgate University. He then earned an MSEd and PsyD from Pace University in school and clinical child psychology. Dr. Gironda interned at Hackensack University Medical Center and Morristown Memorial Hospital, where he developed experience with forensic psychology (related to abuse and neglect), outpatient and inpatient clinical treatment of children, adolescents, and adults, and psychological assessment. Dr. Gironda has treated the severely mentally ill at Newbridge and at the partial hospital program (Quest) at Hackensack University Medical Center. As a school psychologist Dr. Gironda was a member of district child study teams, playing a vital role in school assessment and interventions, including diagnosis of learning disabilities, improving school climate, assisting staff and students following traumas, and suicide prevention.

Dr. Gironda is a frequent speaker at events in the community and for other professionals. He speaks on diverse topics including anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, ADHD, and child development.

Dr. Gironda is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the New Jersey Psychological Association. He is past-president of the Morris County Psychological Association and the Chair on Continuing Education of the New Jersey Psychology Association.

Rathna Mallela, M.D.

Rathna Mallela, MD, MPH, is a board certified Psychiatrist who completed her residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Stony Brook University in 2013. She then entered a fellowship program for specialized training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stony Brook University, which she completed in 2015. Since that time she has worked in Wisconsin at a partial hospitalization program for children and adolescents where she participated in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and team based management of psychiatric symptoms. She also worked on an Adult Inpatient Unit providing psychiatric intakes, medication management, and crisis stabilization.

Dr. Mallela is a New Jersey native and graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She earned her Masters in Public Health and a Medical Doctorate from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She has completed her clinical training in both New Jersey and New York, and currently specializes in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacology, and school-based psychiatric evaluations.

Dr. Mallela’s interests lie in early identification and treatment of mental health issues to promote individual, family, and social well-being. During her training she participated in research at Stony Brook’s “Keeping Families Healthy” Program piloted by Stony Brook pediatricians, which emphasized the importance of providing families with resources and support to make informed choices for their children. She recognizes the importance of a team approach in managing mental health issues, and looks forward to working with medical doctors and therapists in the community at large.

Sharieve Meller R.N., B.S.N., M.S.N. is an Advanced Practice Nurse at Bartky Healthcare Center with over 25 years of experience. She specializes in diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, young adults and families. Sharieve has twice been recognized as a “Top Kids’ Doc” by NJ Family magazine.

Sharieve treats the spectrum of mood, anxiety, learning and behavioral disorders. Her psychotherapeutic approaches include, but are not limited to, cognitive behavior therapy, family systems therapy, interpersonal therapy, and supportive therapy. This range of therapeutic modalities is often combined to provide individualized treatment for every patient and family. In addition to individual and family therapy, home visits, school observations, and parent training may all be utilized to address a particular issue or concern.

Sharieve holds both a B.S.N. in Nursing and a Master’s of Science Degree in Mental Health and Community Nursing from Columbia University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the national nursing honor society. Her background includes nursing management and clinical treatment at child and adolescent psychiatric units at New York Presbyterian Hospital (NY State Psychiatric Institute) and Schneider Children’s Hospital at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She served as an Advanced Practice Nurse at United Hospital Medical Center and The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, providing outpatient mental health services to patients with PKU. In addition, Sharieve has served as a psychiatric consultation liaison nurse in multiple hospital settings.
